My holiday update

7th April. You would think I would have done some work from the clinic. No I did not… I had good, strong will :) I put the work load aside :P I was relaxed :) Rostiah went to my grandmother’s place… so I went out instead.

As I was out (VERY rare activity) with my sister, we were “psssst” by this car passing by… I usually do not turn to such low name calling… but considering it was a family car, and a women was in the passenger seat.. I decided to stop and look it…. It was a good thing I did, because it was my old swimming coach! I could have sworn at him… he he he… Lucky I did not!

We ended up at the nearest “kedai KOPI” and had ourselves some tea/COFFEE and chatted and updated our profiles…. My sisters and cousins and some friends :) As we knew the wife as well… the conversation was quite flowly :) We exchanged phone numbers with promise that we would keep in touch should any “big” events happen in the near future…

Late in the pm, Yusri and I went to pick Haiza up at her place… She was going for a long/short (depends on how you see it) trip to the UK… We were gonna put a cake in to her hand luggage when it refused to open… She panicked… Yusri had this brilliant idea and we managed to pry it open the unconventional way…

It was clear to see that Haiza was upset… It was a new bag from Singapore… and of a good brand as well… to get it not work like that is quite upsetting! As we were trying to get the right combination to get the lock undone… Haiza suddenly thought of the warrenty… YES OF COURSE… it was only a few months old… and its world wide warranty… meaning she can have it looked at while she is on holiday… Suddenly you see this wide beautiful smile again…

It was a mixture of happy and sad as we hugged and waved her farewell… Not all is lost… We will see her again in a few weeks time :)

8th April. It was my laziest day of all my holidays… All I did was sleep, watch tv, eat and sleep some more… I must have been bloated because I could not eat much the next day! Yusri decided it was the best time to treat me and Wei Ping for helping out with his room… Yusri and I had reflexology and WP had body message. It was a cool relaxing night :)

9th April. I woke up from my slumber; switched on my computer and started watching VCDs… I even had lunch in my room… Showered only at 2 pm… It was cool… I still have tons of DVDs and VCDs to watch…

I migrated to the TV lounge room to watch my DVDs… In between, I must have felt asleep… but when I woke up, I continued my viewings :) I was in the middle of watching a Korean funny/romantic movie when I receieved a message from Shibah.

She invited me to watch hide and seek in Empire at 10:30pm that same night… I did a quick calculation… YES!!! My Korean DVD will end approximately 15 minutes before the movie starts… so I agreed… It ws crazy… but I felt good… How often do you get to be all crazy and just be on a movie marathon :)

It was also the same day Yusri called me to tell me he had “LOST” his mobile phone!

10th April. Today is Sunday… and I woke up a bit earlier than other weekends… I had kids to teach… It wasn’t as stressful as I expected…but they do complain a lot… and one of these days, they are really going to get on my nerves! Other than that, it went on quite smoothly…

I continued watching my DVDs and VCDs marathon… Once you get used to vege-ing out… it is actually quite fun… Shibah had invited me to go and join her at Pantai Seri Kenangan for some sporty activity… I would have, but then… I had made a prior engagement and promise to another friend… so I told and decided it won’t be fair… BUT… funny that this person had not contacted me the whole week… And today, at almost 2 pm, I received a text message saying that he is unwell and had been admitted in the hospital…

I went to visit him… He was very unwell… Talk about swollen tonsils… While I was there (entertaining him because he was bored and all alone), something ruptured... and there were puss and blood… YUCK!!! It must have been much more horrible for him… Several moments later, his family (sisters and dad) showed up… so did his best friend! Good thing I was comfortable with his best friend! I felt really awkward with his family there! Naturally, didn’t stay long… made up an excuse and ran away *wink* typical of me…

Anyways, we had dinner plans… Somjai, Bungsu’s friend from Thailand landed in Brunei today. Its her first stay in Brunei… I’ll be joining some of her activities while she stayed over :) While we were talking and having dinner (excellent food at Nonya) The part of people next to us was celebrating his birthday… we pretended Somjai to celebrate her birthday as well… he he he… It was lots of fun… They sang birthday songs… (quite LOUD and pretty different with shouting) and there were some hips moving :P I have to say the waiter and waitress sang quite well… Unfortunately, my camera was low on batt… so we didn’t have the chance to capture the moment… Needless to say, It won’t be a night we will forget soon…

Reminiscing Part 2

Part of reminiscing is you look back on what had  happened in your life, and what a better record of my past than browsing through this blog...
