I usually do a monthly review... I simply cannot be bothered this month! I am on leave :) and that makes me happy a bit as i can wake up late... watch movies and read my books... However, I had been busy with different things :0 and had only managed to read 3 books... and 1 DVD... SO sad...
On Monday (4th April), I was invited by an old friend from Form Six, to give an inspiring talk about careers involving Biology. As mine does involve Biology, and i am on leave on the same day, i graciously agreed to help. For this, i had to answer some questions for them to make it into posters, and i had to create a powerpoint file for my presentation to high school kids.
It turned out to be alright (just in case any of you don't already know... I love talking... and sometimes, presenting about something you know very well, is EASY and gives me this positive rush! I love it!) I tried to make my presentation as simple as possible... and as funny as they can understand me... (My jokes sometimes are only unerstood by me! and the rare few!) I included a lot of pictures to make the stuff less heavy :) Overall, they LOVED my presentation. I got comments such as "that was great", "you're a natural" and more to which i reciprocated with a huge smile and thank you :) That was a brilliant day :)
On Tuesday (5th April), I was rudely awaken by Ali as it was his birthday... It was not that i have forgotten... I rememberd!!! Its just that i was in bed, and have not greeted him, so he decided to remind me... such is our love-admiration love for each other!!! Of course he got a birthday wish and greeting.. but he also got curses for waking me up!!!
On the same day, i had planned to help a friend paint his room... We went shopping for curtains, paints, brushes a few weeks before... even planned how we are going to do it etc. It was going to be one of my holiday projects! (I know its not my room... but its equally exciting!) We chose a dark beige and a light beige for his walls as his rooms is TINY ( this is to create light and to give the illusion of bigger space!!!) and the curtains are a delicious warm colour of gold and beige in vertical stripes...
We finished painting his room at about 5pm... started at 10:30 am... and had lunch break for about an hour plus... I say... WORK WELL DONE! I would have shown off the room... but i did not have my camera with me at that time... so we will have to wait until YUsri, graciously gives us an update of his room... We even reshuffle his bed and stuff around the room to give it more space :) I like stuff like that... (Wei Ping and Haiza helped as well!!!)
It ended up with me injuring my right hand (OLD INJURY) of which i need to go and see John (my accupuncturist) to get it fixed. The plan was to get it fixed today... but last night i managed to get Rostiah to help me and massage it... it feels a bit better... but a trip to see John is imperative!
Today (6th April), I promised Shibah I'd watch a scarry/horror movie with her... We went to the mall and watched 'unborn' at 12:05 pm (LUNCH BREAK!) As always, i dont really know what the story is about... but it turned out to be alright... Of course I did scream and shout and jumpped... but you know I would... It wasn't as scarry as i expected it to be... It was about this woman whom had been murdered... and 2 years later, her spirit is finding revenge/peace through another woman, that happened to almost die in the same murder scene.
I went back to the Clinic to do some "work" after the movie... nothing heavy... and brought some work home... just in case i get bored reading or watching VCD/DVD or surfing the net. nothing urgent!
As i am on leave... there would be many more interesting stuff i will and can do... so I will do so... as i have sooooo many suggestions :) will update every few days i hope... have fun everyone else *wink*
